Mary, I don't know if the mooing help in any way but if you look close enough you can find the lesson in there. Your kids may not even know they are practicing these good habits but it may help them in the future.

Thanks for sharing

I was the exact same way until I got into it. Now I just don't have the time but the principles still stand. Thanks for your feedback.

Good job Nelson. I was doing well until I noticed that farmville was taking about an hour a day from my life. As I have a few big projects in the works like: http://www.mykidneedsbettergrades.com and http://www.myfinancialrehab.com I ran out of time in the day to continue on my farming mission. Keep up the good work and plant some seeds for me.

Thanks

So true! I too started with simple curiosity, and found myself addicted to it everyday, and now being one of the top leader's on Level 87. It is truly like a business...you have to compare daily, which Crop's will give you the most profit. Love your Post!

Hey Jose... I LOVED it!

The simplicity of it all is... BRILLIANT! Why? Because before reading this post, I HATED Farmville! lol!!

I would ignore the guy that was "wasting my time" sending me invitations. Actually, it was probably several people I was not bothering to answer! Now, I'm just about at the point where if I had the opportunity, I might... lol!

Seriously though, Jose you make a great analogy here... and it was really my closed-mindedness that didn't allow for anything other than what my perception was, as far as the "game" went. That same attitude keeps us from seeing other opportunities as well.

So... I'm looking at Farmville a little different, now! lol! Thanks.

Hi Jose,
This is a great post! You took the words right out of my mouth in many ways...

While I am not a Farmville player, both of my children are, and it dawned on me one afternoon when I heard the cows mooing for the millionth time that this game teaches terrific lessons about business, economics, social media, and life!

Great insight, Jose!

Oh that's so funny! What a great analogy between a recreational game and a business model. Isn't it powerful the places we can learn messages from? I love how you connected getting a mentor. Mentors are the difference between a straggly little business and a booming success!

I know... I think I saved one or two of those, but I tried to sell most of it. I had a goal from the beginning... I wanted a "forest retreat" with a log cabin. Then they came out with snow, ornament trees, and the snow lodge, so I decided to go bigger and get all that stuff and have a "winter mountain retreat". Took me about a month or so to get all that I wanted.. I have hundreds of fir trees and maple trees, a tiny farm area and a snow lodge with a frozen pond. Now I am back to spending all my time building my web business. ;)
