I am sure you have all heard the words by now Tribe, Social Media Tribe, Tribe Syndication Group the list goes on and on.
If you have not, then here is a quick explanation. The idea of joining and working with a tribe is based on the simple concept of mastermind groups you may remember this from a little known book named: Think and Grow Rich
This is where Napoleon Hill talked about mastermind groups first talked about building mastermind groups in order to achieve greater success in business and in life. Classic book for anyone trying to improve their lives, influence and production.
You’ve heard it before I am sure, “two heads are better than one”, etc. A group of like-minded people all sharing their thoughts and opinions on how you can improve your business. Done right, it is the ultimate training ground for a business or person in business.

Now imagine the power of these mastermind groups coming together to help you improve your blog traffic. A group of professional bloggers dedicated to educate and support you in order to get over the inevitable hurdles we must all face when getting our blog off the ground. This can be powerful stuff!
Of course, Our new, updated version of this concept is based on Seth Godin’s book: Tribes: We Need You to Lead Us
I can tell you, from experience that my blog looks better, runs better and has more traffic in a small amount of time than it had in six months of me “trying to go it alone”.
Joining my first tribe was like injecting steroids into my blog and social media efforts.
These are the obvious benefits, there is strength in numbers, sharing ideas with like minded people makes you even more motivated, having a captive audience for what you are sharing on your blog is always a plus.
But these are some of my not-so obvious benefits.
- I have been able to make friends with top notch bloggers and newbie bloggers alike.
- I have accountability partners that keep me from getting lazy about my blog posts. (remember, your blog cannot be stale or people will stop visiting)
- I have access to VERY savvy people when it comes to internet marketing and making money through social media. (I tend to pick their brains when I get the chance)
- I learn something new every time we have our conference calls (which is weekly)
- I have support I never thought I would have when I started my blog.
(people have actually taken time to help me with a problem, step by step and let me tell you, I have run into many)
- I have gotten to build relationships with non-competitors (anyone one that does networking knows how important this is)
- I get to play coach to some (which I like to do, it helps me with my public speaking skills)
- I am able to “tap” into people that have already done it to help me get to the next level
This concept has made a major difference in every aspect of my blog marketing and I believe it will do the same for you.
To your Success!

Hi Jose,
From one tribe member to another, thanks for keeping it real. Tribes are so powerful and they can help in so many areas of our learning experiences, not just getting traffic to our blogs. The relationships and the authenticity of the fellow tribers is second to non.
You forgot to add that is a place where a man can hang out with super cool, beautiful and intelligent ladies hehe. Jokes aside.
Its a pleasure to be part of your tribe and I hope people reading this post take action and join the webinar tonight. Its time sensitive people so jump on board.
You Rock Man!

We like to move it! move it! We like to move it! Move it! (As sung by a Lemur in Madagascar nonetheless!) Tribing is the most fun you can have while growing your business! Never have I seen something that didnt require a degree in brain surgery (ie: SEO) produce such awesome results!

Excellent Post Tribe Mate!
I’ve likened this process to what people go through on the reality show of Survivor, with their alliances and tribes. It’s amazing to me how I now see the incredible benefit of using this practice for myself.
My site views on Tribe Tuesday shoots up over 100 views and that’s just by syndicating for one hour. That amazes me. You’ve written a great article here so now all you need to do is go out on Twitter and tweet about the event (with the link) and you’ll be spreading the word virally so more people can get this HUGE benefit for their own website!
Talk soon Jose’!

Great post, Jose. I like how you likened it to putting your blog
on steroids. So true. And the relationships that come from “tribing”
are awesome as well!

You have captured the concept perfectly Jose. I am pretty new to the tribal thing but hey i have always been a wild kinda guy
You are so right about masterminding and to think Napoleon Hill has had the idea on our bookshelves for the past 75 years.
Only good things will come of this.

I never imagined what I was getting into when I came across a man who talked of this tribe concept….
I love your article and of course I love the power and the magic of helping each other learn & grow in a truly tribal environment. Tribe syndication has really put a skip in this girls step!
