With everything that is going on with real estate here in Florida and the economy as a whole, I thought it would be useful to share this information which I received the other day.
Part of what I love about having this blog is that I am able to share potentially life-changing information with a large audience.
When I got this flyer I thought to myself, ”I keep hearing and reading about how real estate is doing and how the banking industry is doing but lately I don’t recall having heard much about the actual people that were most affected by all this turmoil. There are families that have lost their main source of income, their credit, their money even their homes.
Until now, I have not run into that much information on programs to help families that are seriously in distress. So I thought I would share whatever I DO find whenever I get a chance.

Providing a helping hand to persons in need of housing in Miami-Dade County.
It goes on to share some general guidelines for approval and contact information according to different districts.

“As part of the Recovery Act of 2009. Florida was awarded federal grants to help households with rent and utilities to prevent homelessness and help those who become homeless to get back into an apartment. Grants are being managed at the community level.
It then goes on to providing a list of contact information for interested persons to call to get the latest information on the funds available and who to contact to apply for the assistance.
If there is anyone that you know that may benefit from this information, feel free to share this link with them, retweet the post or distribute it how you see fit. The point is to help someone in need get a leg up when it really counts. It is our responsibility to assist our neighbors and this is a very easy way to do so. I know this is a little bit of a sore subject but I truly think it is useful and a family that can receive such assistance will be the better for it.
